Content Feeds - FAQ
What is a content feed?
Put simply, our content feeds will automatically feed your content from your website and republish this on Hotel Speak, fully attributed to you as the author, helping to maximising the reach and exposure of your content and brand.
Will replicating/feeding my content on Hotel Speak affect my website’s SEO performance?
No. Every post shared via our content feeds have a canonical link back to the original source article. Put simply, this means your website is given full SEO authority as the original source of content, so that search engines always recognise you as the original publisher.
How do your feeds work? How long do they take to setup?
We setup a feed to automatically ‘pull’ your website’s blog or news content into Hotel Speak, along with imagery etc. We don’t need to add any code to your site and setup is usually completed within 24 hours.
How many pieces of content can I share on Hotel Speak via a feed?
For free thought leadership feeds we limit this to a maximum of 2 posts per month, per feed. For Premium feeds, we increase this to 5 posts per month, per feed.
Are feeds completely automatic or are they moderated?
While the feed is setup to automatically ‘pull’ content from your website, we do moderate the feeds to ensure editorial quality.
Do I need to do anything once the feed is setup?
For free thought leadership feeds, we’ll review your feed periodically and publish up to 2 articles per month that meet our submission guidelines. For premium feeds, you can let us choose up to 5 pieces of content or specify (by emailing editor@hotelspeak.com) which pieces you’d like us to publish.
How do I choose which pieces of content are shared by a feed?
For free thought leadership feeds we retain editorial control over which pieces of thought leadership content are shared. For Premium feeds you can either have this set to share the first 5 posts published every month, or choose these yourself by emailing editor@hotelspeak.com
Can I manually share content with you to publish?
For free thought leadership feeds, this will depend on the content you’re sharing. For premium feeds, yes, simply email editor@hotelspeak.com
How long does the feed last?
Indefinitely. For free thought leadership feeds you can stop the feed at any point by simply emailing editor@hotelspeak.com. For Premium Feeds, there is a minimum term of 1 year.
What can I include within my author bio?
The author bio can include your company name (or an individual’s name), company logo (or headshot) as well as a brief bio of no more than 50 words, link your website and links to any social media profiles as required.
